Light Up Okotoks 2022

It’s nearly THAT time!!

One of Okotoks biggest and finest events of the year is happening THIS Friday 18th November 2022 between 5.30pm – 9.30pm.

This year is extra special as we are celebrating 30 years of the Lighting Up of the tree.

Things to do:

Don’t forget the usual favourite festivities throughout Okotoks downtown core.  Not to mention wagon rides, fire pits, choir performances and late night shopping and, don’t forget the Spirit of Christmas Artisan Market and so much more. Don’t forget to visit Santa for a photo op for the kids and kids at heart, and afterwards stay for the amazing fireworks display to finish off the night!

Banana’s and chocolate chips oh my!:

Light Up has always been a family favourite, and this year will definitely be special.  My office, CIR Okotoks, will be sponsoring a fire pit and giving away some hot banana and chocolate chip parcels.  Please keep an eye out for us and make sure you come over and say hi!!  We aren’t sure where we will be as yet, but we have asked to be close to Elks Hall!!

Okotoks Foodbank:

This event literally brings everyone and their dogs out, so make sure that you and your family (including pets) are wrapped up warm, and consider bringing a donation for the Okotoks FoodBank.  The RCMP will be there doing a “Cram the Cruiser” on the SE corner of Elizabeth St and Veterans Way.  There will also be a table to collect monetary donations and sell the wonderful Okotoks Foodbank Cookbook (a great present suggestion 😉)

**Please be aware of the road closures that will be in place from 4pm – 10pm on Friday**

Elizabeth Street, McRae Street, and North Railway Street from Northridge Drive to Lineham Avenue South Railway Street, East of Riverside Gate to Lineham Avenue

Light Up Okotoks 2022, can’t wait!!
